I tore my triceps tendon and a piece of bone off of my elbow. An abnormal EKG found during preop, and then Covid, delayed my surgery for three months. When I met with Dr. Luo I explained that I was a 67 year old world champion masters pole vaulter and had the World Masters Games in Japan in a year. He drew out the special type of surgery that would give me extra reinforcement. He also told me that we may have to use the Achilles tendon of a cadaver if the tendon had retracted too much. Yesterday I was released to pole vault again after only 11 weeks. Dr. Luo is an artist and I'm so fortunate to have been referred to him. I would advise anyone in need of his services to embrace any plan he has for you as he is absolutely the best!
